Took 83 minutes to rotate tires check fluids and tell me I need to update my Navigation?they usually do a much more efficient job to maintain my Venza. Most unpleasant experience yet was kind and courteous service reps.

Came into their service department for a brake fluid exchange which I was communicated was a 20-minute process. After sitting in the lobby for one hour with no update being provided to me I go to inquire about what’s going on and am told they’re still about 15 minutes from done. After 15 minutes I again had to ask for an update and was told that it was not completed as the brakes did not pop back up as they would have expected. The desk employee did confirm the car was not worked on for approximately 45 minutes after the appointment time. When the problem did not resolve with the second flush, the desk employee was not able to answer questions asked about the issue and consistently said he didn’t know and “maybe” but when I suggested talking to the tech directly, that suggestion was ignored. Such a waste of time and money just to be told that there is another issue but don’t have time to figure out what it is. Maybe there would have been time if 45 minutes weren’t wasted without working on it!

Brought my truck in for a service on my coolant reservoir. Purchased an extended warranty that I though would cover any repairs on the vehicle for 5 years, 60k miles. Service department informed me that it was power train only and would not cover the repairs. Estimate included reservoir replacement, which is the main issue, a new radiator, thermostat, upper and lower hoses. Totalling almost $1900 in repair. They did offer to take $500 off if I did the repairs there. Looked online for replacement parts and they totalled about $650 for everything Shottenkirk had qouted. I know labor is expensive, but that is flat out ridiculous. Taking it to my normal mechanic for another opinion. The folks were kind enough, but and respectful when I picked up the vehicle, but I will not be doing any service there ever. I've purchased two vehicles in the past but will not be returning in the future, nor will I be recommending Shottenkirk to anyone. Very disappointed at the false advertising that was sold to us during the process. If you sell an extended warranty and claim it covers everything, ensure that it does when a customer brings in the vehicle for service. ***Update*** Still not impressed. Called back to verify the pricing for the repairs after receiving a couple qoutes from other shops. I was told, and given the estimate, that the repairs at Shottenkirk would total $1900. If I chose to do all the repairs there they would be willing to knock off $500. With that discount it would have made Shottenkirk the cheapest route. However, when I called Shottenkirk, I was told that the $500 was already taken off one of the service's, even though that's not how the text was worded, nor did it show that on the service estimate. Pretty shady dealings if you ask me. Before this instance I would have recommended Shottenkirk to anyone, but after this never again. I'm sure that there are plenty of good stories out there, but when it came down to this, it's been anything but good. You know what can be done to make it right, and you have my number. If you care to make it right y'all can contact me. Until then, I would steer clear from Shottenkirk Toyota.

We took our used vehicle back for repairs, approximately 2 weeks after purchase. They attempted to complete the repairs quickly but realized it would take longer. They gave us a loaner vehicle to use, while they kept our vehicle for repairs. While it took almost 3 weeks to complete the repair, we were satisfied with the finished repairs and the use of the loaner, while we waited. This was all completed with their guaranteed warranty, which they honored in full. Overall, the experience was satisfactory and met our expectations.
